HAROLD SANTOS, MAKEUP ARTIST

HAROLD SANTOS, MAKEUP ARTIST

I have been in the industry for almost ten years. My credentials include basic makeup artistry training in the International Spa & Beauty College in Hong Kong in  August 2006, and basic and advanced airbrush makeup training with Temptu, New York in May 2010. I have also attended specialized makeup workshops with The Powder Group in New York in 2008 and 2010. To keep me abreast with the latest trends, products and techniques, I attend trade shows such as IMATS and The Makeup Show on a yearly basis.  Currently I work for the provincial government but I always day dream about colours, pigments and glitter during my break.

I was hired by L’Oreal Philippines to be one of their colour artist for the Maybelline brand. As one of their consulting makeup artists, I travelled the  Philippines providing basic grooming and makeup artistry training to newly hired beauty advisors. I also represented the brand in media launches, fashion shows and beauty segments for TV and magazines. I have also done makeup seminars in various corporate  and retail settings. I have also worked as a bridal, beauty and editorial makeup artist in the Philippines and have my work featured in Philippine editions of  magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, FHM, Town & Country and Lifestyle Asia. I have also done billboard campaigns and advertorials for Garnier, Samsung, Max’s Fried Chicken and SM Mall of Asia. I have also done make up for several seasons of Philippine Fashion Week.

I have worked with local Philippine actors, actresses and models. As for international celebrities, I have worked with MTV Asia’s vee-jay Simone Heng, British actress and ( and bond girl ) Rachel Grant , and American idol alumni Theia Megia. It was through the artist group that I worked with my first Hollywood celebrity, Actress Lawren Bowles of true Blood.
